Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at The Menta Education Group. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with students to help them develop the skills needed for day-to-day life and work, as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities
  • Provide Educational Support: Offer guidance and support to students during times of confusion, frustration, or emotional upset.
  • Develop and Update IEP Goals: Collaborate with the team to create and update IEP goals and progress reports for student caseloads.
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy Services: Provide Occupational Therapy-related service minutes and implement individual treatment plans as outlined in the IEP.
  • Log and Coordinate: Maintain accurate related service logs and coordinate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP-directed.
Qualifications
  • COTA Certification: Possess a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) or proof of application.
  • Student Support: Demonstrate the ability to work with students with various needs, including Emotional Disturbance (ED), Behavioral Disorder (BD), Other Health Impairment (OHI), Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Other Health Impairment (OHI).
