Job Title: Clinical Supervising Physician for Athletic Trainers

Cognito Systems, a joint venture between QuarterLine Consulting Services and Resolution Think, is seeking a Clinical Supervising Physician to provide clinical oversight of up to 16 Athletic Trainers in alignment with state rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide weekly office hours to discuss patient cases, best practices, and current research with Athletic Trainers.
  • Conduct quarterly presentations to Athletic Trainers on best practices and current research.
  • Review and sign supervising physician protocol for state licensing requirements.
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Unrestricted medical license in Washington, in good standing with the board.
  • BLS Provider certification at minimum.
  • Proficiency in the prevention and care of musculoskeletal injuries and medical conditions encountered in sports.
  • Fundamental understanding of sports-related emergency care (concussion, cardiac emergencies, spinal injuries, heat-related injuries).
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Athletic Trainers in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience with military medical system (Army or H2F preferred).
  • Medical specialty board certification (i.e., orthopedics, sports medicine, etc.).
