Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Continuous Improvement to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, reducing waste, and enhancing overall productivity within our distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of continuous improvement engineers to design, implement, and oversee initiatives focused on Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Formulate and execute strategy plans aligned with the organization's continuous improvement goals.
- Drive execution and standardization of processes and initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure improvement initiatives support the overall business strategy.
- Conduct thorough time studies to establish accurate baseline data for operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and efficiency gains.
- Manage and oversee distribution process enhancement projects to ensure consistent implementation and successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify waste, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement within current distribution processes.
- Develop and deliver training programs to distribution center staff on updated processes, new technologies, and Lean principles to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze data, generate performance metrics, and prepare regular reports to measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements, identifying trends and opportunities for further enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Certification and training in Lean required.
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience working in continuous improvement in a distribution or supply chain environment, including 5+ years of management experience.
