Job Summary

This role involves performing maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment to ensure smooth operations in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and computer-related issues to resolve malfunctions
  • Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Reduce downtime and increase on-stream time on assigned shifts
  • Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager on items that need attention
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plan for corrective action
  • Install new machinery and equipment, and perform maintenance welding, cutting, brazing, sawing, grinding, and related metal work
  • Maintain inventory of assigned tools and related supplies, and fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Assist in training plant team members on the operation of new equipment
  • Notify the leader of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken
  • Maintain a clean work environment both inside and outside the facility
Requirements
  • Technical degree or trade school certificate in mechanical, electrical, or HVAC
  • Two years of plant maintenance experience working with electronic troubleshooting and logic controllers, or three years of plant maintenance experience working with electronic troubleshooting and logic controllers
  • Written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Prioritization skills on an hourly basis
  • Ability to work rotating shifts as scheduled
