METROPOLITAN ORGANIZING STRATEGY EN is in search of a skilled Field Operations Manager to spearhead our canvassing initiatives aimed at advancing our advocacy agenda and galvanizing support during the electoral process. The ideal candidate will be tasked with crafting and executing a robust field strategy, overseeing field personnel and volunteers, and ensuring the achievement of campaign objectives through impactful voter outreach and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a comprehensive field strategy to enhance voter outreach, engagement, and participation.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the canvassing campaign, including managing staff and volunteer activities.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor field personnel and volunteers, equipping them with essential tools and resources.
  • Coordinate door-to-door canvassing, phone outreach, and other voter engagement efforts.
  • Assess and analyze campaign data to gauge the effectiveness of field strategies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Build partnerships with allied organizations to synchronize and strengthen support for our canvassing efforts and advocacy campaigns.
  • Ensure adherence to all campaign finance regulations and reporting obligations.
  • Oversee the budget for field operations, including resource allocation for personnel, materials, and events.
  • Provide regular updates to the Executive Director and Lead Organizer regarding progress towards objectives and any challenges faced.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in political science, communications, or a related discipline; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in political or grassroots campaigns, demonstrating a successful history in managing field operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a proven ability to inspire and mobilize diverse groups.
  • Exceptional organizational and strategic planning skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with VAN, EveryAction, Mobilize, canvassing, and relational organizing applications.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure and adapt to dynamic circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to commit to extended hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly as the election period approaches.
