Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring residents and guests feel comfortable and catered to in the dining room areas.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to our company's dress code and grooming standards.
  • Ensure all side work assignments are completed in a timely and efficient manner, between meal periods.
  • Take orders from residents and guests, accurately entering them into our Point Of Sale System.
  • Follow all service standards as described in our department manual, ensuring consistency and quality in our service delivery.
  • Understand the daily menu and food preparation process, being able to answer questions related to the menu and provide recommendations.
  • Perform assignments after the dining room closes, ensuring the rooms are ready for the next meal period.
  • Keep dining areas clean and properly arranged, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
  • Engage with tours and the sales team to offer a positive first impression, showcasing our community's amenities and services.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with teammates and associates in other departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Follow emergency procedures and seek immediate assistance when needed, prioritizing resident and guest safety.
  • Understand safety practices and procedures associated with the kitchen and dining rooms, as well as our community's fire plan and evacuation procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience and passion in working with seniors.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to convey and understand information and ideas in English.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, maintaining composure and objectivity.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
  • Criminal background check and drug screen required.
