Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Radiation Therapist Supervisor to join our Radiation Oncology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and supervising areas of clinical treatment and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer policies, procedures, and implementation of standards to ensure quality patient care.
  • Develop department clinical standards, clinical and operating procedures/policies.
  • Ensure a competent, motivated staff through selection, orientation, training, development, and supervision of technical employees.
  • Ensure effective communication channels by advising appropriate personnel on operational, procedural, and organizational policy issues.
  • Manage assigned financial and physical department resources in a cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor construction progress and associated purchasing activities for treatment and planning areas.
  • Assure radiation safety to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Develop timely and accurate workload reports through detailed analysis.
Requirements
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Physicist, Radiation Therapist, or Certified Medical Dossimitrist.
  • Medical Physicist Candidate: Masters or PhD as a Medical Physicist. OR Radiation Therapist/Dossimitrist Candidate: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize knowledge of radiation oncology procedures, radiation protection, radiation therapy equipment, accessories, and clinical applications.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend/purchase equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation therapy clinical functions and procedures/treatments.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with administrative staff, physicians, and department staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as supervisor in a Radiation Oncology Department strongly preferred.
  • Fluoroscopy License preferred.
