Baystate Health is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Geriatric Medicine. This is a unique opportunity for a junior faculty member to develop a strong, sustainable clinical research program in geriatric and palliative care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in geriatric and palliative care, with a focus on developing and implementing innovative clinical programs and interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement research studies, and to develop and implement clinical programs and services.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on securing external funding and publishing research findings in top-tier journals.
- Provide clinical care to patients in geriatric and palliative care settings, with a focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows in geriatric and palliative care, with a focus on developing the next generation of leaders in the field.
- MD or DO with board certification in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine.
- Completion of advanced research training is preferred.
- Candidates should have credentials supportive of an appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
- Strong research background, with a successful track record of publications.
