Job Overview

The Mechanical Assembly Specialist plays a crucial role in assembling and testing advanced systems and related products within our manufacturing environment, adhering to established engineering specifications and assembly guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primarily responsible for the mechanical assembly of components utilizing small hand tools and power tools; soldering may be necessary.
  • Final assembly of systems and associated accessories.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of both subassemblies and complete assemblies.

Collaborate with fellow Production Technicians and Engineering teams to enhance and refine documentation related to the assembly process, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.

Engage with engineering on new product initiatives where documentation and assembly instructions are still in development.

Work alongside manufacturing engineers to boost assembly efficiency, enhance product quality, lower manufacturing costs, and validate released assembly and fabrication documentation.

Ensure compliance with work order protocols and maintain accurate work order documentation throughout the assembly process.

May also provide training to other technicians on product assembly or established assembly procedures.

Conduct in-process quality inspections to guarantee that assembled items meet established high-quality benchmarks.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Preferred vocational training in Electronics or Solder Certification.
  • Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, tweezers, multimeters, drills, taps, torque wrenches, and power tools.
  • Familiarity with Safety and ESD practices is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics is desired.
