The ideal candidate will possess extensive Project Management expertise, particularly with NCDOT Highway Occupancy Permits and municipal land development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee comprehensive land development projects focusing on traffic engineering and planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tasks including traffic impact assessments, intersection engineering, traffic signal design, and roadway signage and marking plans.
- Analyze and interpret NCDOT Highway Occupancy Permit Design Criteria and procedures.
- Supervise the creation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction timelines, impact assessments, permits, and project designs.
- Act as a representative in municipal meetings, public hearings, and discussions with NCDOT staff.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification (required)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong work ethic with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet various deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver's License
- Familiarity with North Carolina Municipal Planning Code
- Experience providing testimony for land development applicants regarding North Carolina municipal approvals
