Director of Scholarships

Join the University of Texas at Arlington as a Director of Scholarships and lead the operation of the Scholarships Office, awarding university scholarships, and maintaining compliance. Collaborate with the Office of Development in donor stewardship and scholarship development, and maintain high-quality relationships with university departments, parents, students, alumni, and donors.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead full-time staff responsible for processing departmental, private, and athletic scholarship funds.
- Manage UTA's institutional general recruitment scholarship program, developing awarding criteria and programming to identify qualified candidates and increase high-achieving students.
- Monitor and manage endowed departmental scholarships to meet enrollment goals and ensure annual spending targets are met effectively using scholarship management software.
- Communicate with prospective and current students and families regarding scholarship opportunities, collaborating with Recruitment and Admissions Processing to support recruitment efforts.
- Represent the university at recruitment and other programming, leveraging scholarships to increase value to the audience.
- Serve on internal and external committees, including the Financial Aid liaison on the Athletics Council and the University Endowment Compliance Committee.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in financial aid, scholarship, or enrollment management administration, including three years of supervising full-time staff.
- Experience with scholarship management systems, CRM, and website maintenance software.
- Working knowledge of Title IV regulations.
