About the Role
In this position, you will join the Regulatory Legal team, providing essential legal counsel on the company's operations within the US Banking and Capital Markets sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of general corporate and regulatory compliance legal guidance to various departments within the organization.
- Act as the primary legal advisor to our compliance division concerning US banking and Capital Markets issues.
- Work collaboratively with different functional teams to provide insights and advice on the interpretation and applicability of US federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Review and draft communications, marketing materials, and disclosures for clients.
- Manage legal matters coordinated with external legal counsel.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited US law school and valid license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with laws and regulations relevant to US financial institutions and service providers, including consumer financial protection laws and US regulations (e.g., Reg E, Reg Z, Securities Act of 1933).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and provide counsel to business, legal, and compliance teams on intricate legal matters related to various regulatory and compliance challenges.
- Familiarity with US financial regulatory bodies is advantageous.
- Previous in-house legal experience is preferred.
- Experience in fintech, banking, asset management, or capital markets law firms is a plus.

FIS is dedicated to providing its employees with rewarding career opportunities and competitive compensation. The salary range for this full-time position is $117,000 to $197,580.00, reflecting the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries based on the role, level, and location. Actual starting pay will be determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
