Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality patient care and support services to residents at The Waters of Georgetown. This role involves delivering routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, as directed by supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and Report Changes: Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts, and report any changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
  • Follow Work Assignments: Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with the facility's established policies and procedures, as instructed by supervisors.
  • Ensure Resident Comfort: Ensure residents' rooms are ready for receiving residents, inventory and mark residents' personal possessions, and transport residents to new rooms or receiving areas.
  • Assist with Daily Functions: Assist residents with daily dental and mouth care, bath functions, dressing/undressing, hair care, and nail care.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain intake and output records as instructed, and assist in preparing for medical tests.
  • Participate in Activity Programs: Assist with activity and social programs, and check each resident routinely to ensure their personal care needs are being met.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Unencumbered, active CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • Education: Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state.
  • Skills: Possess a sincere desire to work with elders and others with a limited capacity for self-care, mental and physical capacity to perform the essential job functions, and the ability to work with individuals of a wide range of personality types and maturity levels.
