Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a paraprofessional member of our home care team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed healthcare professional. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care services to patients, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting patients with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and transferring
  • Observing patients for changes in health status and reporting these observations to the clinical team
  • Documenting all visits in our electronic medical record (EMR)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with all regulatory boards
  • Valid CPR certification
  • The ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided
  • Self-direction with the ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired
  • Demonstrated tact and patience
  • Access to reliable transportation
