Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our palliative care program.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with serious illnesses, focusing on pain and symptom management, and improving quality of life.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, and chaplains, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop strategies for improving patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our palliative care program, including education and training for staff and patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in hospice and palliative medicine, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
Requirements
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine or a related field.
- Current medical licensure in the state of California.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong clinical skills, with a focus on pain and symptom management, and improving quality of life.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
