We are seeking an experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time job opportunity with support for H1b and green card applications.

About the Role

This senior firmware engineer position is responsible for developing production-quality Linux device drivers for multiple devices, working cross-functionally with Product, Program, Customers, Customer Support, and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in C and/or C++, 10+ years of experience developing firmware for Embedded devices, and experience working independently to own deliverables from concept to mass production to end of life.

The successful candidate will have experience developing secure firmware that integrates with AWS (and other Cloud Service Providers), as well as secure OTA firmware for Embedded Devices that works in sync with OTA software on the cloud side. Additionally, they should be familiar with IoT technologies like MQTT, CoAP, Bluetooth, and 802.15.4-based protocols.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop production-quality Linux device drivers for multiple devices
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Program, Customers, Customer Support, and Marketing teams
  • Design and develop secure firmware that integrates with AWS (and other Cloud Service Providers)
  • Develop secure OTA firmware for Embedded Devices that works in sync with OTA software on the cloud side
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our products and services
Requirements
  • Expertise in C and/or C++
  • 10+ years of experience developing firmware for Embedded devices
  • Experience working independently to own deliverables from concept to mass production to end of life
  • Familiarity with IoT technologies like MQTT, CoAP, Bluetooth, and 802.15.4-based protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in the EV Charging industry designing and developing firmware for EVSE products
  • Knowledge and experience with PLC (Power Line Communications)
  • Experience designing PCB and hardware schematics
  • Knowledge of J1772, NACS, OCPP, CCS
