Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior FPGA Firmware Design Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will participate in the development of FPGA firmware in the Space & Airborne Systems segment of L3Harris. This is a challenging role that requires expertise in VHDL, FPGA design process, and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support proposal efforts in estimating and planning end-to-end FPGA development.
  • Decompose and allocate system and box-level requirements to FPGA requirements and specifications.
  • Assist in architecting solutions against requirements and implement those solutions in various FPGA technologies or platforms.
  • Follow consistent firmware development processes across FPGA designs.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 6 years relevant experience, OR, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience, OR, In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related engineering experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • 4+ years experience building FPGAs with difficult timing and/or difficult routing constraints
  • Experience with VHDL, FPGA design process, and lab equipment
  • Professional experience/knowledge of cryptographic algorithms
Salary:$102,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
