Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth studies on weapon system concepts and evaluate their performance metrics.
  • Establish system requirements and analyze overall system effectiveness.
  • Utilize modeling, simulation, and analytical methods to evaluate emerging technologies for strike warfare.
  • Document engineering analyses, prepare comprehensive reports and presentations, and define material requirements for stakeholders.
  • Develop processes and artifacts for systems engineering, integration, testing, and evaluation.
  • Act as a primary technical liaison with government sponsors, principal investigators, and project management teams.
  • Lead and engage in engineering team discussions and technical development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with industry, academic, and government laboratory personnel to explore the application of innovative technologies in advanced weapon systems.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in weapon systems development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government representatives.
  • Willingness to travel for customer presentations, technical consultations during system development, and support for laboratory/field testing.
  • Active Secret security clearance with the potential to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance, subject to government investigation and eligibility criteria.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Fifteen years of professional experience in weapon systems development and acquisition.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering processes and tools.
  • Understanding of military warfare systems, including aircraft, weapons, sensors, and mission planning applications.
  • Knowledge of DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Acquisition Decision, Research and Development, and Test and Evaluation systems.
  • Proven ability to effectively interface with government sponsors and hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
