Position Summary:
We are currently seeking skilled Fund Accountants to support our Real Estate teams. As a Fund Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of various funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in the initial setup of new fund engagements, collaborating with independent tax advisors, legal professionals, and notaries.
- Oversee daily fund operations and maintain communication with external parties, including investors and fund managers.
- Manage fund accounts and prepare periodic financial and regulatory reports for fund entities.
- Calculate periodic Net Asset Values and year-end financial statements, manage audits, and review related reports.
- Review tax returns and balances while liaising with tax authorities.
- Ensure accurate recording of time spent on client matters for proper invoicing.
- Take on additional responsibilities and administrative tasks as directed by management or clients.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Relevant experience in fund administration, auditing, or fiduciary services is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the fund industry, valuation, and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with investment product accounting, particularly in closed-ended funds within real estate private equity or debt sectors, is a plus.
- Understanding of common securities in the fund industry, including equities, bonds, options, and futures, with the ability to account for these instruments.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Strong team spirit, ability to build client relationships, and initiative to act independently when necessary.
