Fund Accountant

We are Alter Domus, a leading provider of alternative investment solutions. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients, and we are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join our team.
As a Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reports, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. You will work closely with our Financial Control, Implementation, and Technology teams to streamline production and enhance policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow standard GAAP process and guidelines;
- Interact directly with clients on weekly/monthly calls and ad-hoc as required;
- Work with members of the Financial Control, Implementation, and Technology teams to streamline production and enhance policies and procedures;
- Ensure strong internal and external communications on status, issues, and expectations;
- Build relationships with responsive, confident communications and attention to detail;
- Self-review work prior to submitting for review;
- Participate in interactions with external SOC 1 and fund-client auditors.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting (or related field) and 0-3 years of professional experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as demonstrated analytical capabilities and strong attention to detail.

- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity;
- Successful candidates can work independently and as a part of a team with professionals from all levels;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- CPA, or intention to obtain CPA, preferred.
