At Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales and Catering Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Sales and Catering Coordinator will assist in the overall efficient operation of the Sales and Catering Department. This role will be responsible for coordinating banquets, meetings, and receptions, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare event documentation and coordinate with sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the event process.
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
  • Act as liaison between field salesperson and customer throughout the event process, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges associated with events and work with hotel staff and customers to solve these challenges and develop alternative solutions.
  • Manage banquet and meeting space for assigned groups, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal customer experience.
  • Advise sales staff on the ability to accommodate client demands, including phone requirements, fit of available space, and materials such as booths.
  • Access and input data into a computer system to generate account history reports.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marriott Hotel reservations & Sales and Catering software program knowledge.
  • Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
