Key Responsibilities
The primary focus of the Assembly Operator Technician II is to ensure the smooth operation of assembly equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Safely and efficiently completing the assembly process while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Executing complex machine setups, including mechanical parts changes and dip tube modifications.
  • Conducting quality inspections during production runs to ensure compliance with quality plans.
  • Measuring and testing assembly units to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on assembly machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Identifying opportunities for efficiency enhancements, cost reductions, and quality improvements.
  • Participating in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) reviews and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of quality and production results.
  • Executing part changes and conducting diagnostic inspections on machinery.
  • Supporting on-time delivery by operating assembly machines as needed.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess:

  • Basic skills in shop mathematics and computer usage.
  • Fundamental troubleshooting abilities for mechanical issues.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and report data related to machine performance.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Skills
Preferred candidates will demonstrate:

  • A willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs and comply with safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Physical demands include various movements such as standing, walking, lifting, and climbing.
