Position Overview

Pilot Freight Service is in search of a dedicated Customer Service Representative 1 to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations at our facility. The working hours for this position are flexible, requiring availability for evening and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management team with daily operational tasks, including:
    • Assisting with route assignments and ensuring compliance with contractor uniform standards.
    • Monitoring truck delays and ensuring effective communication with stores and clients.
    • Verifying that pre-call procedures are executed properly.
    • Auditing billing processes and ensuring all documentation is processed accurately.

Answer the main telephone line, which involves:

  • Utilizing a clear and articulate speaking voice.
  • Directing calls to the appropriate personnel using available communication tools.
  • Providing customers with timely updates regarding their deliveries based on system information.
  • Conducting pre-calls to inform customers of their delivery windows.

Coordinate in-home deliveries for customers, which includes:

  • Gathering necessary information from customers.
  • Obtaining directions to the customer's residence.
  • Inputting relevant data into the computer system.
  • Explaining the scheduling policies to customers.

Complete additional tasks as assigned by management. Attendance and punctuality are critical to this role.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage and communication.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
