Job Overview

As a Clinical Pharmacist Network of Care, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in pediatric patients. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the best medication regimen and monitoring plan for each patient.

Responsibilities
  • Provides drug information services to healthcare professionals, responding to questions regarding medication compatibilities, adverse drug events, regimens, dosing, interactions, storage, and disposal.
  • Sustains and implements quality and safety initiatives and practices in the department and throughout the hospital.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary team rounds and care, emergency response, education, guidance, interpretation, and analysis of medication-related therapeutic issues.
  • Documents pharmaceutical interventions according to departmental standards and performs therapeutic drug monitoring and disease outcome analysis.
  • Verifies medication orders in an electronic health record system.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
  • Completion of one year pharmacy residency or one year of pharmacy work experience accepted in lieu of residency.
  • State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Pharmacist license.
Work Environment

This position floats between the Network of Care locations at both Highlands Ranch and Broomfield. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive clinical services to patients at Children's Hospital Colorado.
