Role Overview

The Telecom Construction Manager oversees the construction timeline, budget, and quality assurance for projects. This role also includes managing the workforce engaged in construction activities, which consists of direct reports, matrix staff, and subcontractor teams.

  • Enforce and uphold the company's safety protocols, ensuring that daily safety plans are reviewed and adhered to, and halt operations when unsafe practices or conditions are identified.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of specific construction projects, consulting with senior construction managers or project managers regarding any necessary adjustments to plans.
  • Possess a solid understanding and experience in Construction and Material/BOM Management, collaborating with various departments as needed.
  • Engage with the client's engineering team while leveraging the expertise of the company's engineering and management teams for informed decision-making.
  • Responsible for scheduling, monitoring, measuring, and reporting progress to key stakeholders on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Implement the quality assurance program for all tasks, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in construction management is required.
  • Experience in wireless construction is essential.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is necessary.
  • Availability for day, night, and weekend work to support project completion is required.
  • An engineering or technical degree is preferred.
  • Active OSHA-30 Certification or higher is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel is essential.

Essential Functions: The role involves intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Hand manipulation is necessary for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor tasks. The position requires reaching and working above and below shoulder height. The ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required. Candidates must be alert to equipment in the field, as travel and work near construction equipment will be necessary, along with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions, noise, and varying temperatures.
