Key Responsibilities
  • Studies patients' medical histories and verifies physician treatment plans for accuracy.
  • Designs treatment plans using computer and/or manual computation to deliver prescribed radiation doses while limiting healthy organ function.
  • Communicates treatment plans to Radiation Oncologist for approval and implements them with Radiation Therapists.
  • Maintains records of treatment plans and outcomes, monitoring and recording radiation treatments.
Requirements

This position requires a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification, three years of experience, and a graduate degree from an accredited program. Key skills include knowledge of radiation safety, technical aspects of radiation oncology, and mathematical skills.
