Job Summary:

The Development Associate, Prospect Management and Research supports the continued growth and improved efficiency of fundraising efforts at Partners In Health. This role is responsible for maintaining and regularly assessing the Resource Generation Branch's (RGB) portfolio and prospect management system, which encompasses all revenue generating streams including individuals, corporations, foundations and the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and regularly assess the RGB's portfolio and prospect management system.
  • Work closely with research colleagues to ensure the swift progression of newly identified prospects within the prospect channels.
  • Manage processes and workflows supporting data accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the RGB's revenue and stewardship goals.
  • Develop and manage the entry practices and coding of donor data in Salesforce using industry best practices and practical insights.
  • Manage the portfolio assignment process to ensure that portfolio size and distribution is optimized.
  • Build donor data entry strategies in conjunction with the Senior Director of Prospect Management and Research.
  • Collaborate with the research team to help identify new prospects for qualification and determines process for assignment to portfolios.
  • Ensure effective tracking of assignments in the Salesforce database to measure and inform practices.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Information System (SIS) team to manage the portfolio and prospect management Power BI reports, Power Apps and online ticketing systems.
  • Responsible for data quality and quality control reporting processes related to prospect management.
  • Serves as a prospect management liaison for special projects and key initiatives across the organization as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2-3 years of fundraising/development experience or combined equivalent.
  • Understanding of information management in a non-profit database structure, particularly the ability to manipulate and retrieve data.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a sensitive manner.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle several projects simultaneously and re-prioritize as needed.
  • Strong experience with computers, online databases, and Internet searching.
  • Record of showing initiative and independently setting up effective systems and workflows that meet outcome expectations in quality and timeliness.
  • Ability to synthesize high volumes of data and write concisely.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and country.
  • Commitment to social justice and PIH's mission strongly desirable.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan with employer match, as well as participate in organization-sponsored medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability insurance and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents.

Full time employees will also receive 15 days of vacation, 12 sick days, 3 personal days and 3 volunteer days in addition to paid time off during the week between Christmas and New Years, the week of July 4th and 11 additional holidays annually.
