About the Role

Collegiate School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodial and Events Set-Up Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing policies and procedures for campus custodial and events set-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct custodial personnel, procedures, and operations to ensure the cleaning and care of campus buildings meet APPA Level 2 Standards.
  • Manage logistics, setups, special events, and operations to meet the school's logistical needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee the inventory of custodial and logistical equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate with the night cleaning vendor's manager to ensure consistency in the cleanliness of buildings and support the needs of the community.
  • Develop and direct corrective strategies when necessary.
  • Supervise the campus mail and package delivery and service operations.
  • Communicate daily with the outsourced Night Custodial Manager to coordinate cleaning schedules that accommodate academic schedules, athletic games, events, and community needs.
  • Assist with various personnel functions, including hiring, promotion, employee evaluation, merit recommendations, disciplinary actions, time records, and vacation schedules.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in custodial services, including direct supervision of staff and program development.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge, skills, and expertise in custodial services and systems.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of set-ups and special events planning implementation.
  • Demonstrated initiative in the development and implementation of custodial service and management procedures, programs, and strategies.
  • Knowledge of green custodial principles and floor care equipment.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills, with the ability to develop and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills, with high attention to clarity and detail.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based systems, word processing, and spreadsheet software, and the Windows platform.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A valid Virginia driver's license and the ability to meet Collegiate School's driving criteria.
