About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift team at HNI Workplace Furnishings. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for organizing team efforts to deliver key performance indicators (KPIs), leading daily discussions with the team, and ensuring visual management is relevant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize team efforts to deliver KPIs and lead daily discussions with the team to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Work with the team to manage daily staffing requirements and make adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor progress towards goals and communicate gaps to the team.
  • Conduct daily 5S and safety walks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Partner with the Maintenance and Continuous Improvement (MCR) team to address issues and concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to achieve daily delivery and quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve quality concerns using 8D problem-solving methods.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Organizational/Business Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of direct labor supervision experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or customer service, with lean manufacturing experience preferred.
