Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Norwalk Hospital. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse
  • Lead groups and activities with patients to promote a therapeutic milieu
  • Document patient data accurately and maintain confidentiality
  • Assess and respond to patient needs in a timely and effective manner
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field (Associate's degree in Psychology, Human Services, or related field considered with relevant work experience)
  • 1 year of related experience (CNA with work experience with psychiatric population considered)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a dynamic environment
Work Environment

Norwalk Hospital - 34 Maple St, Norwalk, CT

Work Schedule

Part-time, 24 hours per week, rotating shifts and every other weekend
