Job Summary

The Assistant Teacher plays a vital role in creating a nurturing and safe environment for children at Little Vols Learning Center LLC. This position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to implement developmentally appropriate activities and maintain positive relationships with children and their parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of educational programs and activities, promoting participation and engagement among children.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Educator and Director to develop and maintain a high-quality educational environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates and progress reports, fostering strong relationships and ensuring open dialogue.
  • Model self-help and good hygiene practices, promoting healthy habits among children.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from home to child care center, prioritizing the needs of children and families.
  • Adhere to all center policies and state regulations, maintaining a commitment to excellence and compliance.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Willingness to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
  • High energy and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of child development and educational principles.
  • Leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Ability to pass a full background check and health screening.
