Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scientific Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will support laboratory operations, front office tasks, perform wellness checks, conduct program enrollment for TSA Precheck and related services, and maintain a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and process samples for analysis.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Document and record test results ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Conduct program enrollment for TSA Precheck and related services.
Process individuals in the enrollment system using their identification documents.
Greet individuals in person and handle telephone inquiries with excellent etiquette.
Assist in developing and implementing new laboratory procedures.
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Manage billing and inventory tasks.
Train new staff members.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a phlebotomist is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting.
Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Pleasant personality with the ability to learn quickly.
Proficient in using laboratory software and equipment; knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
Good overall telephone etiquette.
