Job Title: Athletic Trainer (Part-Time)

Summit School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Athletic Trainer to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our athletic program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage an effective athletic training program for all sports.
  • Provide first aid, injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes; refer to physicians as necessary.
  • Offer coverage at home athletic events and practices from the fall through the spring sports seasons.
  • Coordinate annual athletic physicals, concussion testing, and supervise the clearance of injured athletes.
  • Collaborate with coaches to implement sport-specific conditioning programs.
  • Maintain a well-organized and efficient athletic training room and manage inventory, supplies, and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, coaches, and administration regarding athlete care and treatment.
  • Maintain injury reports, daily treatment logs, and ensure all records are up-to-date.
  • Assist in selecting and fitting protective equipment and monitoring environmental risks.
  • Share current professional literature with coaching staff to enhance athlete care.
Terms of Employment:

This is a part-time, ten-month position, starting in early August and ending mid-May. The successful candidate will work approximately 20-25 hours per week, with a flexible schedule determined by the Athletic Director based on the athletic season.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and aptitude for coaching, with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills. They will be able to maintain discipline and positive relationships within the team, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for the sport.
