About the Role

This position requires a detail-oriented individual to work with the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining food quality and safety in the candy manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and assist with Quality Assurance documents that are part of the Safe Quality Food System (SQF), HACCP, Pre-requisite programs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Review and verify corresponding records to ensure procedures and records are followed and completed appropriately.
  • Ensure good documentation practices are followed and all records are filed and maintained.
  • Perform daily Quality Control Checks.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of the facility to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety Standards are being followed by employees.
  • Participate in and lead Monthly Internal Inspections.
  • Train all personnel at the facility in Food Safety topics such as GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, Allergen Control etc.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of FDA/FSMA, HACCP, Safe Quality Food Systems (SQF), Food Defense, Food Fraud, Internal Auditing and GMPs.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling.
  • Excellent Communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Effective Time Management.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and monitor others for adherence to written procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
