CDL Training Manager

Position Overview

The CDL Training Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the CDL training facility. This role encompasses the management of CDL examiner personnel, fleet operations, training initiatives, and the administration of CDL Skills Assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily activities of the CDL program, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct quality evaluations on the work performed by examiners.
  • Lead and mentor staff, assess performance, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Track student progress and modify instructional methods as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager regarding fleet oversight.
  • Manage inventory and procure supplies as required.
  • Document and maintain records related to fleet operations.
  • Contribute to the development of training curricula.
  • Organize educational materials and assignments for students.
  • Establish best practices and tools for effective program management.
  • Safeguard student records and ensure lab security.
  • Evaluate student learning outcomes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Possession of a State of New Mexico CDL Examiner Certification.
  • Valid CDL Class A License and DOT Physical Card.
  • Current Driver's License.

Work Schedule: Primarily Tuesday through Saturday, from 7am to 4pm.
