The ideal candidate will have two-four years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting, a patient-centered approach, excellent communication skills, and an interest in Population Health. They should also be laparoscopically trained.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.
  • Review patient's history and perform physical examinations.
  • Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  • Treat diseases of female organs.
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely.
  • Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of four-year postgraduate medical training from an accredited residency program in the area of practice.
  • Completion of three-year postgraduate medical training from an accredited fellowship program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Laparoscopically trained.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Must possess current, unrestricted New York State license.
  • Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
  • Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
  • BLS or ACLS certification required.
  • Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
