Position Overview:
As an Early Intervention Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering home and community-based services to infants and toddlers who may experience developmental challenges. Your work will directly impact the lives of children and their families, ensuring that services are tailored to meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in comprehensive assessments of developmental milestones in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver individualized services and activities that are developmentally appropriate for children aged 0-3 and their families.
- Contribute to the creation of an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), focusing on specific goals and strategies for child development.
- Document progress through notes, reports, and assessments as required.
- Provide both individual and group interventions for infants and toddlers facing developmental delays.
- Evaluate family and child strengths, concerns, and progress.
- Act as a service coordinator, overseeing the implementation and evaluation of intervention plans.
- Offer professional support to families, facilitating parent-child interactions to promote child development.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Preferred experience working with infants, toddlers, and their families.
- Understanding of family dynamics and early childhood development principles.
- Ability to foster meaningful relationships with children, parents, and community partners.
- Commitment to providing individualized and culturally sensitive services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
- Adherence to confidentiality and professional standards.
- Proficient computer skills and documentation capabilities.
- Possession of a current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual or bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply.
