Job Title: Principal Compensation Analyst

Stanford University is seeking a highly experienced Principal Compensation Analyst to join its Human Resources team. As a key member of the compensation team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering compensation programs that align with the university's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance on compensation design, implementation, and administration to clients across the university.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support compensation strategy and decision-making.
  • Design and implement compensation programs, including salary planning, bonus structures, and equity incentives.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders and line managers to develop and implement compensation policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to associate compensation analysts and compensation analysts on compensation best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and ten or more years of relevant experience in compensation and HR.
  • Expertise in compensation design, implementation, and administration, with a strong understanding of federal and California state wage and hour regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and ability to interpret internal and external issues and recommend new solutions and best practices.
