Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our team at Intermountain Health, a leading teaching hospital in Denver, Colorado. As a diagnostic imaging specialist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasound images and providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

  • Produce high-quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam.
  • Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation.
  • Document all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly.
  • Obtain and evaluate pertinent patient history and physical findings that may affect the sonographic examination.
  • Explain procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Maintain the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and ensure proper equipment maintenance and equipment safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry with successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, and vascular).
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association.
  • Ultrasound experience preferred.
  • RVT Certified highly preferred.
