Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by physicians or radiologists.
- Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain imaging equipment and manage patient records with accuracy and precision.
- Protect patients from radiation exposure by using lead shields and other safety measures.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Current license/certification in the state of practice required.
- Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification, or obtain certification within one month of employment required.
