Job Summary
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in $80,000 - $110,000 per year. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and management of EHS programs, as well as collaborating with Facility Managers to address any safety concerns or needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Safety Risk Assessments: Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Compliance Evaluation: Review and analyze loss data to identify trends and areas for improvement, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate regulations.
- Training and Development: Develop and present training programs to educate employees on EHS best practices and policies.
- Investigation and Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations of accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and making recommendations for improvements.
- Regulatory Code Implementation: Identify and assist in implementing regulatory codes and requirements set by local, state, federal, and corporate policy.
- Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development and/or enhancement of new and existing EHS policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in HSE-related field preferred; Associate's degree required.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety laws and best practices, familiarity with manufacturing environments.
