Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Chinatown Service Center is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing occupational therapy services to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and annual assessments to identify client needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide occupational therapy services, including individual and group sessions, to clients.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Assess and recommend adaptive and durable medical equipment for clients.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Occupational Therapist License issued by the State of California Occupational Therapy Board.
  • Current BLS/First Aid certification.
  • Minimum two years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and apply good judgment.
  • Ability to function well independently.
  • Ability to use or be trained in computer skills for the workplace.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Ability to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Able to constantly position yourself to maintain files in file cabinets such as reaching with hands and arms, kneeling, crouching, etc.
