Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Chinatown Service Center is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our participants achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide occupational therapy services to participants. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and annual assessments to identify participants' needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide occupational therapy services, including adaptive equipment recommendations and training.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Assess and address participants' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  • Document participant progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Occupational Therapist License issued by the State of California Occupational Therapy Board.
  • Current BLS/First Aid certification.
  • Minimum two years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably with a frail or elderly population.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and apply good judgment.
  • Ability to function well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to use or be trained in computer skills for the workplace.
