Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's grounds, including turf, bunker areas, and irrigation systems. You will also be responsible for performing daily course set-up functions, hauling materials, and removing debris using dump trucks and other machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain turf, including performing cultural practices such as topdressing
  • Maintain bunker areas, including raking and watering
  • Haul materials and remove debris using dump trucks and other machinery
  • Mow grass using a riding or walk-behind mower
  • Trim and edge grass in areas that mowers cannot reach
  • Operate chainsaw to cut trees and/or tree limbs
  • Install new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs
  • Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems
  • Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies
  • Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 2 years of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • License or Certification: None
