The Automation Quality Assurance Specialist will spearhead the initiative to develop an automated testing framework for a Salesforce CRM deployment, which incorporates a Mulesoft integration layer and various database connections. The role involves transitioning from existing manual testing protocols to automated scripting, mentoring QA Engineers on creating test cases with future automation considerations, and ultimately designing comprehensive end-to-end tests utilizing the Eggplant tool. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high degree of independence and motivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automated software testing methodologies.
- Design and execute thorough end-to-end automated tests using the EggPlant tool, guided by functional specifications.
- Conduct detailed functional and regression testing to verify software compliance with internal, customer, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA Managers, and other relevant stakeholders to devise solutions that align with business objectives.
- Continuously improve development processes and apply technical solutions for enhanced operational efficiency.
- Identify and document quality issues and generate detailed test reports.
- Guide QA engineers on automation standards and practices.
- Manage the implementation and upkeep of software databases critical to the automation framework.
- Select manual test cases suitable for automation.
- 5+ years of experience in developing automated tests using Espresso, Kotlin, JavaScript, Cypress, Eggplant, or other relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- 1-2 years of experience in testing on the Salesforce platform.
- Expertise in API and GUI testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of application functionalities, debugging, and testing methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, TestRail is a plus).
- Extensive experience in an agile software development lifecycle (SDLC), including designing, developing, and deploying functional software based on Product team analysis.
- Ability to test work-in-progress deliverables to ensure they meet acceptance criteria and functional requirements as defined by the Product team, along with non-functional requirements set by the development team.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to document complex technical solutions.
- Motivated to lead the automation testing initiative.
- Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Android, Linux, iOS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud-based tools (GitLab, AWS).
- Experience with multiple databases (Oracle, MS SQL, SQL Lite, SQL Express).
- Proficiency in the EggPlant test automation tool.
- Basic knowledge of system/network administration (DHCP, Firewall, Wireless).
- Experience in performance testing (JMeter, Blazemeter, HP/LoadRunner).
