Job Title: Server

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our team at TAO Downtown Restaurant - New York. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of our guests, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Provide professional and exceptional service, presenting menus, answering questions, and making recommendations for food and beverage items.
  • Inform guests of all food and beverage specials, with prices, and ensure accurate ordering and delivery of food and beverages.
  • Solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest and ensure their needs are met.
  • Accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follow proper cash/payment card procedures.
  • Ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests, maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Follow supervisor's instructions, communicate with and support co-workers, and work as part of a team to achieve our goals.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company, ensuring accurate information and recommendations are provided to guests.
  • Serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards.
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.
  • Work as part of a team, providing help and support to all fellow team members, and assist with additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Previous hospitality experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.
  • Previous dining room experience, with a focus on providing exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to write and verbally communicate effectively, with good positive energy throughout the day.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods, with the ability to move quickly and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, with a focus on maintaining a professional and neat appearance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
