Position Summary:

Schulte Hospitality Group is in search of dedicated servers for our establishment, Doc Crow's Southern Smokehouse and Raw Bar. The primary responsibility of the server is to guarantee that every guest enjoys a remarkable dining experience. The server must be attentive to the needs of our patrons while ensuring they feel welcomed, comfortable, valued, and at ease. The compensation structure includes a base pay along with an average tip income.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit genuine hospitality in every interaction with guests, including welcoming them, taking food and beverage orders, addressing inquiries, expressing gratitude, and encouraging their return upon departure.
  • Warmly greet all guests promptly with an appropriate salutation.
  • Show a fundamental understanding of recipe execution and culinary techniques.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menus, promotions, brand details, and special events.
  • Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety are upheld throughout all areas consistently.
  • Verify identification and age requirements for all alcoholic beverage purchases.
  • Efficiently take beverage and food orders from guests in accordance with company standards and input them into the POS system promptly.
  • Prepare tables, napkins, utensils, condiment refills, server stations, and other necessary tasks as directed by Front of House Managers or General Manager.
  • Stay attentive during staffing meetings and remain informed about daily menu changes, including food and bar specialties and menu deviations.
  • Address guest inquiries regarding food and beverage preparation details and communicate specific guest needs to the kitchen and bar.
  • Maintain a professional dining experience while delivering items, fulfilling guest service needs, clearing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling drinks, and offering desserts.
  • Conduct tableside wine service according to company standards.
  • Handle transactions, issue receipts, accept payments, and return change in line with company protocols.
  • Safely manage plate ware, glassware, and small wares.
  • Communicate ordering necessities to Management.
  • Ensure a positive guest experience through effective communication during guest recovery situations, documenting occurrences for the Manager on Duty.
  • Record all Front of House-related COGS, including Waste Logs and Cost Transfers.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as required or instructed by Management.
  • Assist and support team members as needed.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned by the Bar Manager, Front of House Managers, General Manager, or Corporate Office.
  • Adhere to company Appearance Standards.
  • Maintain consistent productivity, follow health codes, and provide a safe working environment for all staff while upholding impeccable personal hygiene and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior work-related experience is required.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Positive interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to write in basic English.
Working Conditions:

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee typically works indoors in a controlled environment with a moderate noise level.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to communicate clearly and listen.
  • Required to stand, walk, and/or sit to perform job duties.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
