ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Retail Security Supervisor plays a vital role in minimizing losses by preventing external theft and implementing essential operational initiatives.

This position will exemplify customer engagement practices to identify and deter shoplifting while providing exceptional service to all patrons.

In accordance with company policy, the Supervisor will engage law enforcement when necessary to address theft incidents.

The role also involves monitoring store adherence to safety protocols, operational controls, and Merchandise Exposure Standards (MES).

Additionally, the Supervisor may assist in both internal and external investigations and promote awareness of theft prevention and operational controls within the store.


Theft Prevention and Awareness:

Observes customer and employee activity in the store to identify potential theft while adhering to company dress code standards and addressing behaviors indicative of shoplifting or internal theft.

Prepares thorough and precise incident reports in the Loss Prevention Management System (LPMS) for all theft recoveries and incidents. Collaborates with local authorities for resolution and prosecution of theft cases.
Creates a welcoming in-store atmosphere where all individuals, including teammates and customers, feel safe and respected.
Requires the ability to navigate the sales floor, stockrooms, and office areas throughout the shift.
Possesses skills to de-escalate situations involving individuals displaying concerning behavior.

Management of Loss Prevention Initiatives:
Support and actively demonstrate company values related to customer engagement.
Provide additional support for the business's general needs as required.
Participates in Shrink Coach meetings, new hire orientations, and conducts regular training sessions with store personnel.
May assist the store Shrink Coach in executing the Shrink Business Plan on a limited basis.
Conducts MES evaluations, fitting room inspections, and safety checks during slower traffic periods.
Adheres to established policies and procedures regarding safety, loss prevention, and standard operating practices while maintaining confidentiality of all company information.
