Job Summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leading food processing and distribution company seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to join our team in Chaska, Minnesota. As a Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of boiler/refrigeration equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain boiler/refrigeration equipment and systems, including ammonia refrigeration, boilers, pumps, compressors, condensers, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine boiler water analysis and maintenance as required.
  • Monitor and maintain plant steam production, ammonia refrigeration system, and compressed air system.
  • Document all maintenance and inspection activity in accordance with Northern Star Co. Mechanical Integrity Program.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, complete monthly safety audits/observations, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure product quality.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Three years of strong industrial utility systems maintenance background in a manufacturing environment (food processing plant preferred).
  • Minnesota Boiler Class 1B or above license is required.
  • Boiler, HVAC, and HAZMAT training is required.
