We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce high-quality MR images.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex diagnostic imaging equipment, efficiently following routine protocols and demonstrating independent judgment.
- Use technical skill and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy to perform MR exams using appropriate imaging protocols, independently and efficiently.
- Participate in workflow activities to ensure the goals of the department are met and the department runs efficiently.
- Assist schedulers, physicians, nursing, and other staff with scheduling, obtaining requisitions or pre-authorization, patient preparation instructions, and other exam-related communications.
- Perform quality and compassionate patient care to ensure cooperation, safety, and satisfaction, demonstrating accuracy on safety screening and promoting service excellence.
- Perform various record-keeping and customer service functions to ensure exam charges are properly billed and communicate feedback.
- Participate in educational activities, including teaching and learning opportunities, to further professional knowledge and expertise.
- Associates Degree in Radiology preferred.
- ARRT and MRI advanced registry required unless trainee.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in MRI unless trainee.
- Ability to enter a magnetic field without risk to self or others.
May be exposed to infectious diseases or hazardous materials. Average clinical radiology setting. Standing and walking most of the day. Working with medium-weight equipment with occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects.
